Founded in 1992 as both a family passion and small business, Puffnstuff Cockapoos is dedicated to raising happy, healthy puppies that grow into wonderful companions. I am a small animal veterinarian and graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with over 35 years of experience. Over the years, I have personally owned and cared for multiple generations of both Poodles and Cocker Spaniels – the parents behind Puffnstuff Cockapoos. This hands-on background allows me to carefully select for health, temperament, and intelligence, ensuring every puppy begins life with the best possible foundation.

Daily Care & Support

Located on more than nine acres in the countryside of Southwest Virginia near Virginia Tech, my kennel sits less than 100 feet from my home. Puppies enjoy space to run and play, along with indoor and outdoor facilities for their comfort and safety. I am supported by my full-time assistants, Will and Sierra, who have each worked alongside me for more than 15 years. Together, we provide daily care, early socialization, and guidance for families as they prepare to welcome their new companion.

First-Generation Cockapoos

All of my puppies are first-generation Cockapoos (50% Poodle x 50% Cocker Spaniel). This pairing provides the benefits of hybrid vigor-combining the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the affectionate, playful, and sometimes stubborn nature of the Cocker Spaniel. Depending on their parents, my Cockapoos typically mature between 15-30 pounds. Their coats are usually low-to non-shedding, making them a great choice for families with mild allergies.

Health & Veterinary Care

In addition to my breeding program, I own Town and Country Veterinary Clinic (tcvccares.com), where all of my dogs receive regular grooming and complete veterinary care. Puppies are generally ready for their new families between 7-9 weeks of age, though we sometimes have older puppies or younger adults available. At placement, puppies will have received age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a complete health record, and each one goes home with a two-year written health guarantee.

Training & Optional Services

For families who want a smoother transition, we offer training for puppies over 12 weeks of age. Training may include crate training, housebreaking, manners, and socialization, and is generally recommended for 7-14 days. Addition services include:

• Spay/neuter and microchipping
• Ground Transportation (delivered to your home or meeting halfway by trusted drivers)
• Flight nanny service for safe air travel
